Violet is on the outs with Pete, because she slept with Addison’s dad. Charlotte is on the outs with Cooper…. Dare this ‘Private Practice‘ fan hope for a Coop-Violet reunion? I assumed Shonda Rhimes had given up on that pairing. – Sloan
Shonda has given up on nothing, especially another go at that originally teased twosome. “For all intents and purposes, the show for me is only in its second season,” Rhimes told me, “so we’re still in the process of finding out what works and feeling around for where the chemistries lie.” Ergo, Rhimes’ advice to the patient Cooper-Violet ’shippers is, “Never say never.”

Penny in Washington, D.C.: Are Addison and Sam really over on Private Practice?
The feelings are there for both parties involved, but it looks like Addison isn't willing to give up her friendship with Naomi for a shot at real love with Sam—and he's not happy about her choice.

Chris Lowell said a while ago in an interview that ‘Private Practice’s Dell was going to become angry and bitter after what happened in “Blowups.” Is that still happening? – Alicia
I assumed that Dell’s trip to that dark place conveniently started and ended with that episode about his new wife’s tragic death, but a show insider isn’t ruling out the possibility of a late-season flare-up. Me, I’d prefer to see the boy bounce back with some shiny, happy romance. And so would Lowell. “Wouldn’t that be nice? I mean, what the hell?!” the actor said with a laugh. “He’s the young single guy on the show, and he delivers babies for chrissake. Chicks love that!”

Mallory in Portland, Ore.: I think this Addison-Sam romance on Private Practice is the dumbest thing that's ever happened on that show. Is it over soon?
All we can tell you is what Kate Walsh told us at the Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation event in New York when we asked for her personal opinion of the Sam-Addy storyline: "Yeah, it's pretty polarizing, but I can't even comment on it. I'm too embroiled in the character. I like where it goes though." Mmm...

MessageSujet: Re: Spoilers only (pas de discussion)   Mar 13 Avr - 22:23

I’m nothing if not a man of my word: I promised you that today I’d tweet which show features what I’m 100 percent certain may be one of the most shocking deaths in any of this season’s finales, and guess what? Just moments ago, I did just that. In case you missed it, keep reading…

The original cast member whose character is getting whacked is on… Private Practice!

The Grim Reaper will pay a most unwelcome visit to the Grey’s Anatomy spinoff in the May 13 episode. I say most unwelcome as opposed to, you know, just generally unwelcome, because the person whose alter ego is being killed off is someone that I — and most of you, my mailbag says — have been a fan of for years.

But that’s all you’re getting out of me. OK, that, and this list of reasons why it could/couldn’t be the following. But that’s it, then.

Kate Walsh (Addison)
Pro: Killing off the star of the show would certainly shake things up!
Con: She’s the star of the show!

Tim Daly (Pete)
Pro: His death would bring about a speedy resolution to the Sam/Addison/Peter triangle!
Con: It’s Tim Daly!

Audra McDonald (Naomi)
Pro: New York-based McDonald has been doing the bicoastal thing for three seasons and all that air travel has to be taking a toll. Plus, Naomi’s death would clear the way for Addison and Sam to be together.
Con: She’s Addison’s BFF and only emotional constant.

Paul Adelstein (Cooper)
Pro: I honestly can’t think of one.
Con: He brings a welcome dose of levity to an otherwise emotionally charged medi-soap. His light touch would be sorely missed.

KaDee Strickland (Charlotte)
Pro: She was always the outcast of the group, a point that was driven home even more painfully than usual in the wake of her estrangement from Coop.
Con: Every show needs a bitch.

Chris Lowell (Dell)
Pro: Lowell’s episode order was cut back this season. Was Shonda Rhimes trying to wean us off Dell?
Con: He remains one of the show’s most popular (and demo-friendly) characters. Plus, Rhimes would never make sweet Betsy an orphan.

Taye Diggs (Sam)
Pro: As Addison’s partner-slash-crush and Naomi’s ex, his death would have a cascading effect that would reverberate for many seasons to come.
Con: Have you seen that smile? Oh, and the abs?

Amy Brenneman (Violet)
Pro: Since her C-section from hell, she has proven to be emotionally unstable (not to mention the worst mom ever). Next step suicide?
Con: Fans are just now getting over Judging Amy’s cancellation!

Question: Any more clues on who dies on Private Practice? —Katie
Ausiello: Well, Addison was already a long shot, but considering what happens to her in the finale, I can’t imagine Shonda Rhimes would be so cruel as to kill her. [MAJOR SPOILER ALERT] “You’ve watched her get really beat up all season,” says the boss lady, so “I wanted to sort of see her have a chance at really being happy…to finally sort of get the guy and find some peace.” (No word if the guy she gets is named Pete or Sam.)

Question: Regarding the death coming up on Private Practice, is it going to stick? —Krista
Ausiello: Yes.

Question: Private Practice has been rocking. Any scoop? —Amanda
Ausiello: Cooper and Charlotte are poised for a reunion. “We’ve been watching Cooper and Charlotte sort of deal with their own crap, and [now] they’re coming around to a reconciliation,” confirms E.P. Shonda Rhimes. “[But] I think it will be surprising to the audience the way it happens.”

‘Private Practice’ Custody Fight Preview: ‘A Lot Of Dirt Is Thrown’

This week on ABC’s ‘Private Practice‘ (Thursdays at 10/9c), the battle for custody of baby Lucas reaches a fervent boil, as Pete (played by Tim Daly) and Violet (Amy Brenneman) get their day in court.

Who from Oceanside Wellness sides with Team Wilder? And who testifies on behalf of Team Turner? The hard truths coaxed out of each witness – and whom they actually benefit – is certain to surprise.

“A lot of dirt is thrown. A lot,” Daly tells Fancast, sharing the view from where Pete is sitting. “It’s sort of a recap of the worst qualities of everyone on the show, all revealed for public consumption.”

Surveying how viciously Pete and Violet’s lawyers (guest stars Frances Fisher and Caroline Aaron, respectively) solicit and skew testimonies from Oceanside’s finest, Daly says, “I guess there are moments where good people get into battle, go a bit insane and fight with everything they have, regardless of the ‘collateral damage.’ And there will be collateral damage here.”

That said, Daly promises a resolution to the custody fight that is “very interesting and worthy of [series creator] Shonda Rhimes’ cachet of surprises.”
